With nearly 40 years of experience in post-16 education, Karen Cox stands as a pillar in the sector, known for her unwavering commitment to supporting young people who struggle to thrive in mainstream education. As a Company Director and Safeguarding Lead, Karen has dedicated her career to ensuring that every student has a fair chance at success, particularly those who might otherwise be overlooked.

Karen’s extensive knowledge and expertise are unparalleled; she is often described as someone who possesses a wealth of information that is invaluable to her colleagues and stakeholders. Over the years, she has forged strong relationships with key figures across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, reflecting her dedication to collaboration and community engagement.

Lisa Cannone

Director and DSL

With over 16 years of dedicated experience in post-16 education, Lisa has established herself as an expert in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Currently serving as a Curriculum Lead, Lisa is passionate about enhancing educational outcomes for young people facing challenges in mainstream settings, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

Lisa holds a Level 5 Diploma in Education and is a member of the Society for Education and Training, where she engages with fellow professionals to share best practices and advance her own knowledge. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Special Educational Needs, further solidifying her commitment to this vital field.

Her approach is characterized by a relentless drive to improve educational provision. Lisa strives to create transparent, measurable pathways for all students, ensuring that each individual has the support needed to thrive. Through her innovative strategies and collaborative mindset, she aims to cultivate an inclusive environment where every young person can achieve their potential.

Lisa’s dedication not only impacts her students but also inspires her colleagues, as she continually seeks to elevate educational standards and practices within her institution.


Jacqui Dormer MEd Special Needs and Inclusive Education, AMBDA, BSc Hons, BA, DipM, PGCE, PGC in Specific Learning Difficulties

Jacqui Dormer is our SEND and Inclusion Specialist, and is a highly knowledgeable leader in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Inclusion. Bringing a wealth of expertise to our organisation. With a specialisation in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, and Dyscalculia, to name a few. Jacqui is a crucial asset to our team.

Holding a Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) certification and a Bachelor of Science Honours, Jacqui is also a qualified "Teach the Teacher" instructor. Her deep understanding of diverse learning needs enables her to oversee the implementation of quality first teaching practices and ensures that Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes are met for all learners.
Jacqui is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and plays a pivotal role in supporting staff with their Continued Professional Development (CPD). Her wealth of knowledge is invaluable, as she shares best practices and innovative strategies that help both educators and students thrive. By offering guidance and support, she empowers staff to grow and develop their skills, enhancing the overall educational experience.
Additionally, Jacqui is dedicated to providing support to learners and their families, ensuring they feel understood, heard and valued. Her compassionate and proactive approach makes her a trusted advocate for all students, driving continuous improvement within the organization. Through her leadership, Jacqui is shaping a more inclusive and supportive educational landscape for everyone involved.

Our Education thatSystem Works For You

Our This Is Me (T.I.M) programme has been specifically designed to support young people with additional needs who are struggling to access mainstream education. This could be for a wide range of things, such as anxiety, bullying, behavioural incidents, or medical issues to name a few.

The focus of our programme is to work with these young people, through detailed steps to enable them to be able to access education again.

We tailor our packages around each individual young person, so no two deliveries will look the same. 

By incorporating specialist staff, bespoke learning and weekly opportunities to access a wide range of enrichment activities and trips, we reengage young people back into education.
